Experts at the meeting pointed out that with the development of Mini/Micro LED technology and the maturity of small-pitch products, the industrial agglomeration effect is becoming increasingly obvious, and cross-border enterprises have entered the market, the future industrial pattern or will be reshaped.
Driven by a new generation of information technology, the LED industry is entering a stage of innovation, transformation and improvement, and high-quality development. Guan Baiyu, secretary general of China Semiconductor Lighting /LED Industry and Application Alliance, pointed out in his opening speech that in the past two decades since 2003, China has continuously launched new products in LED devices, LED lighting, display and backlight, and the industry has accumulated relevant experience and explored the law of industrial development.
"China's LED industry as a whole has formed a basic LED chip, package, driver IC, control system, power supply, production supporting equipment and materials and other relatively complete industrial chain, industrial ecosystem standards, for further development and promotion laid the foundation." China Optical optoelectronics Industry Association light-emitting diode display application branch chairman Guan Jizhen said. According to the statistics of the light-emitting diode Display Application Branch of the China Optical Optoelectronics Industry Association, the market share of indoor and outdoor display products has changed greatly in recent years, and the proportion of indoor display products has increased year by year, accounting for more than 70% of the total number of products in the year. Since 2016, the small-pitch LED display has witnessed explosive growth and has quickly become the mainstream product in the display market. At present, the total market of indoor and outdoor LED displays accounts for more than 40% of the total small and medium-sized spacing products.
The reporter learned at the meeting that the current COB integrated package technology, Mini/Micro LED display technology, LED virtual shooting and other directions have gradually become a new increment in the development of the LED market. As the high-end direction of packaging technology, COB has gradually become an important product technology trend under the development of LED screen micro-spacing, and the relevant manufacturer camp and scale are rapidly expanding. Since the Mini LED backlight market entered the market in 2021, the annual compound growth rate has reached 50%; Micro LED is expected to achieve large-scale use within two years after the maturity of key technologies such as massive transfer. In terms of LED virtual shooting, with the cost reduction and efficiency improvement of the technology shooting, in additionto the field of film and television, it is also increasingly applied to variety, live broadcast, advertising and other scenes.
